Jeannette Kiel {Ecofeminist Artist}

Dissertation Reflections is a series of seven watercolor pencil drawings Jeannette created from 2014-2015. Each of these drawings were inspired by her dissertation research which comprised of interviews of seven women spiritual-ecofeminist-activist-artists, including her own reflections on the questions. Each ecofeminist artist inspired her work in different ways as can be seen in each of the creative dissertation reflections. The creation of these reflections started as a way to be more creative and incorporate art into her dissertation writing process and to balance the integral nature of her work. This was a most important component within itself in that it enabled Jeannette to make deep connections with the ecofeminist's stories and art work.
